Most people refer to this day as the first day of the week. It is the day that traditionally begins the work week, after the 2 day weekend celebrated by most people. But, as we looked at in yesterday’s post, the 1st Day of the week is called “Sunday,” by traditionalism, making today, according to our Creator’s calendar, from creation, the 2nd Day of the week. Traditionalism calls it “Monday,” after the moon deity.
In Shemoth 20 Yahuah tells us to remember His Sabbath, from creation. And in the commandment to rest on His Sabbath, He commands that we work the other 6 days of the week.
Exo 20:8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart.
Exo 20:9 “Six days you labour, and shall do all your work,
Exo 20:10 but the seventh day is a Sabbathb of יהוה (YHWH) your Elohim. You do not do any work – you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.
Exo 20:11 “For in six days יהוה made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore יהוה blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart. -E-Sword, TS 2009
The Sabbath Day of Yahuah, the Creator of the universe and all that is in it, is the 7th Day, as established at creation. The 1st Day of the week is called “Sunday,” by traditionalism, and it is a work day, not a day of rest. The command is, “Six days you shall labour, and shall do all your work, but the 7th is a Sabbath of Yahuah your Elohim (Mighty Ones).
So, according to the Truth of the Word, the Instruction and Command of our Creator, today, called falsely “Monday,” is the 2nd work day of the week, not the 1st.
Is there blessing in working on the 1st Day of the week? Another way of asking this question, and eliciting the correct answer is this; is there blessing in obedience, by favor/grace, through belief/faith? First we must believe. Belief in the Word of Yahuah Elohim, our Creator, accesses His favor, which is the power to walk obediently. This is true blessing. If we work all 6 days of the week, as He prescribed, then our work, in Him, according to His Truth, will produce His blessing. If we rest on His prescribed Day we can experience True rest, in Him. Note; blessing will not always look like the world defines blessing.
Seek Yah today, go to work, and allow Him to order your life, and bring His blessing of rest, provision and peace.
