Proclaiming Paganism in Names of the days of the week

Posted on September 17, 2018September 18, 2018 by truthseeker

Do you know that every time you say the name of a day of the week you are proclaiming the name of a pagan deity? Does it even matter to you? It matters to our Creator Yahuah. In His Word/Instruction to us – His written and established Word – He tells us that we are not to even mention the names of pagan mighty ones. Yet we do without even realizing it! BUT, what will you do when you know that these names are pagan? What will you do when you realize that you are proclaiming that the days that Yah has made are days dedicated to the pagan mighty ones, in what you call them, instead of His days, that He has made?

Notice this portion of His Instruction, in Shemoth/Exodus 23, commanding us to not speak the names of foreign mighty ones. AND notice that the commandment is contextually associated with the Sabbath Day Command, that includes all the other 6 days of the week that we are commanded to work.

Exo 23:12 “Six days you are to do your work, and on the seventh day you rest, in order that your ox and your donkey might rest, and the son of your female servant and the sojourner be refreshed.
Exo 23:13 “And in all that I have said to you take heed. And make no mention of the name of other mighty ones, let it not be heard from your mouth.

I know many of you will say, “Well, He knows my heart, and He’s not worried that I use these names.” That is a very strange sentiment, in light of the clear Word that He has said and is established. You might say, “To me these names don’t mean anything or have anything to do with these pagan mighty ones.” But they do.

Again, do you care? What matters most to you? Is it your convenience? Is it your discomfort in sticking out in a crowd as being different, or peculiar? Do you know that is what we are commanded to be, set apart from the crowd? We are not citizens of this kingdom, that is in the sway of the wicked one. We are citizens of the Kingdom of Yah, and if we are we will stand out as different, peculiar, and clearly not of this world.
